We recognize our obligation to keep information about you secure and confidential. It's important for you to know that, unlike many other institutions, we do not sell or share Customer Information with marketers outside of Copper Conferencing ("COPPER"). So, there is no need for you to tell us not to. You must also know that we carefully manage information to give you better service, more convenience, and to offer benefits based on your overall business with us.
This policy covers Customer Information, which means personally identifiable information about a consumer or a consumer's current or former relationship with COPPER including, but not limited to, the collection, use and disclosure of consumer's information collected through COPPER Conferencing and through the use of such COPPER services ("Service").
Collecting information.
We collect and use various types of information to service your accounts, save you time and money and better understand your needs. We want to help you learn more about products and services that may be of interest to you. Customer information we collect is categorized as the following five types:
Information you provide to us on applications and through other means, such as contact name, company name, address, billing telephone number, email address, credit card number, trade references, surveys, sweepstakes and/or contests, etc.
Information about your transactions and account experience with us such as your account balance, payment history, parties to transactions and credit card usage or information about our communication with you, such as a request for a review of our product and services.
Information from a consumer report, such as information regarding your creditworthiness or credit history.
Information from outside sources regarding credit worthiness or verification of your personal information.
Other general information we obtain about you that is not assembled for the purpose of determining your eligibility for credit or other product or service you request, such as demographic information.
Telephone numbers and call detail records are stored in the process of providing service to the Customer, as in any telecom service.
Protecting information about you from marketers outside COPPER.
COPPER does not sell or otherwise share any customer information with marketers outside COPPER offering its products and services. You do not need to take any action to prevent disclosure.
While COPPER may offer products and services on behalf of outside companies, COPPER and outside companies that work for us control the information used to make those offers. You may also stop the delivery of informational or promotional mail from us by following the instructions included in the informational or promotional mail itself.
Accessing personal information you register to use any of the services offered by COPPER, COPPER will send you a confirmation of your registration showing the Personal Information that we obtained from your registration. Also, whenever possible, we will take reasonable steps to give you the opportunity to confirm and/or modify your Personal Information.
Making the security of information a priority.
Keeping your personal information secure is one of our most important responsibilities. We value your trust and handle the information about you with care.
At COPPER, we:
Limit access to Customer Information to those associates who need to know that information to provide products and services to you or to maintain or service those products or services.
Are bound by a code of ethics requiring confidential treatment of Customer Information and our Associates are subject to disciplinary action if they fail to follow this code.
Maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect Customer Information.
Continually assess new technology for protecting information and upgrade our systems when appropriate.
Complaints of non-compliance.
If at any time you believe that we have violated any of these Policies, please notify us by email at support@copperconferencing.com and we will use all commercially reasonable efforts to promptly investigate and remedy the problem.
Disclosing information in other situations.
We may also disclose any of the three types of Customer Information to credit bureaus and similar organizations, and otherwise when permitted by law. For example, this may include:
A disclosure in connection with a subpoena or similar legal process
A fraud investigation by authorized law enforcement or other authorized agency
An audit or examination any governmental agency
In connection with a merger, consolidation or sale of substantial assets of COPPER
Sharing information with companies that work for us.
We may share all five types of Customer Information to measure the effectiveness of our marketing effort to improve the products and services that we offer to you or to share with third parties for other purposes including, but not limited to, advertisers, fulfillment houses, distributors, agents and promotional firms for the sole purpose of improving the endorsement our products and services.
Recording.
Certain Company products allow the Customer to digitally record select calling sessions for subsequent playback. In ALL such cases, it is the Customer's responsibility to notify all parties present as to the use and enablement of the recording option. Under no circumstances do company employees access recordings except with Customer's permission.
Monitoring.
Although Federal and state laws may make it illegal for third parties to listen in on service, due to the system integration with the public telephone network, complete privacy cannot be guaranteed. Company shall not be liable to Customer or to any third party for any eavesdropping on or interception of communications from Company's System.
